Letter from the Editor, December 2012

Dear Kindred Readers,

The whirlwind of fall and its signature energy of abundant harvest has not quite diminished for me yet, and this is good.  Dancing on winds of change instead of being blown over by them was a suggestion of one of many wise teachers, as his seminal work’s theme is, “God put us here to play.”  So play, I am!

This past September found me hiking, gardening, writing, meditating and communing with like-minded souls on the 200 acre campus of the EarthRise Retreat Center at the Institute of Noetic Sciences for their first ever, three week-long, Omnibus One Residency Program.  The importance of IONS’ consciousness research over the last 40 years can be found extensively in my writing and conscious living activism. The connections I made during my residency with kindred spirits are already having far-reaching consequences in my life, and for you as Kindred readers. (Watch our double-secret in-house video of our memorable time together here and then book your own retreat to EarthRise!)

Over the coming weeks and months you will be experiencing Kindred in a different way, as an investor I met during my residency will be sponsoring our nonprofit website “going to the next level”.  We have already begun working with a marketing director, accounting team and new website assistant, who are all happy to keep you up to speed in the coming weeks.  Please feel free to contribute your tax-deductible donation to our work as well!

Finally, while at IONS, I was interviewed by a dynamic new filmmaker and activist, Rhea Zimmerman (we are pictured together above).  You can read her blog about our interview here, her next blog about coming to my house in Virginia and visiting Joseph Chilton Pearce here, and watch a two minute teaser of our two hour-long interview here.

It is, as I say in the film clip above, a very exciting time to be alive and participating in an epic shift in human consciousness.  I am grateful for the many diverse voices that show up in Kindred’s pages to tell this new and emerging story of humanity, and for you, our readers who carry the message out into our world.  I invite you to share our e-newsletters with your family and friends and to let us know what else you would like to see here in the coming months as we grow and change.

Blessings,

Lisa Reagan</p
