Elly Taylor

Elly Taylor is a former relationship counselor, parenthood researcher, author and founder of Becoming Us, an approach to parenthood that supports the mental, emotional, and relational wellbeing of expecting and new mothers, fathers, parents and families. With a background in both therapy and education, Elly collaborates with maternal, mental health and allied health professionals to prepare and support couples through the transition into parenthood. Her approach is grounded in compassion, connection, and the belief that when partners know how to nurture each other and grow together through both the joys and challenges of new parenthood, families can flourish. Elly has served as a perinatal relationship Subject Matter Expert for university research projects in Australia and the United States, helping to shape more integrated models of care.

Recently, Becoming Us Sessions have been incorporated into antenatal education in the very two hospitals where her own children were born—a deeply meaningful milestone in her work. Elly lives in Sydney with her husband and their three kidults.
