Francis Brinker
Dr. Brinker served as a clinical and classroom instructor in physiotherapy and botanical medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, from 1983 to 1985. Subsequently, he taught botanical medicine for seven years at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Brinker developed the initial botanical medicine sequence for the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in 1998. He served as botanical medicine facilitator for the resident fellowship from 1998 to 2000. Then, from 2000 to 2007 he functioned as a botanical medicine curriculum developer, content provider and dialogue facilitator for the associate fellowship. As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Brinker has been an associate faculty member since 2003, contributing to the Integrative Medicine electives for fourth year medical students and residents. Since 2007, he has also served as a guest lecturer at Han University of Traditional Medicine (formerly Asian Institute of Medical Studies) in Tucson.
