Rachel Ernst

Rachel Ernst has been an FCL board member since 2007.  She mothers two children entering kindergarten and second grade in an urban Waldorf school. Together with her husband of thirteen years, they have lived near and far from family in Michigan, Chicago and Minneapolis. As a nuclear family discovering the context within which they have grown up, they seek out new ways to create community. Rachel's involvement with FCL has helped her discover answers to questions she didn't know she had, to discover the lens through which she views the world, and to embark on consciously shaping her own experience of parenting and relationships. Through her involvement with FCL, Rachel hopes to encourage other parents to build their own strong family attachments, and to find and build community by nurturing themselves and others.
