Kathrine Cays

Kathrine Cays, MPS, ATR-P, is a credentialed art therapist, interdisciplinary artist, and matriculated doctoral student in the Transdisciplinary Leadership and Creativity for Sustainability program at the University of Vermont. She holds a Master of Professional Studies in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute and a BA in Studio Art and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also certified through the Supporting Wellness Through Arts and Nature (SWAN) program and trained by the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA).

Kathrine’s multidisciplinary practice bridges visual art, creative writing, and therapeutic methodology, centering on the intersection of human experience, ecological consciousness, and altruistic love. In 2016, she founded Teleios Studios, LLC, where she continues to develop artwork and poetry rooted in personal transformation, ancestral reverence, and deep relationship with the more-than-human world.

As an art therapist in North Carolina, Kathrine works with individuals of all ages and facilitates nature-assisted expressive arts workshops. Her offerings weave together mindfulness, natural movement, creative writing, and visual art to cultivate healing, resilience, and life-affirming awareness. Guided by her reverence for Nature as a sacred teacher, her work invites others into meaningful engagement with inner and outer landscapes.
